Live delay counts and on-time performance are calculated on the full dashboard using schedule comparison data.
Widget Watch is the only real-time operations dashboard built specifically for Delta Air Lines passengers. Live flight tracking, delay alerts, Starlink WiFi status, and IRROPS monitoring, updated in real-time.
This page gives you the overview — but the real action is on the dashboard. Track every Delta flight at EWR in real time, set up flight watch alerts, check equipment swaps, and monitor weather radar overlaid on the live map.
Newark Liberty International Airport is Delta Air Lines' primary East Coast hub and its most important transatlantic gateway. With approximately 400 daily departures, EWR connects to over 180 destinations and is the only Delta hub in the New York metropolitan area.
Delta operates primarily from Terminal C, a dedicated Delta terminal with over 70 gates and multiple Delta Club lounges (C74 area, C120 area) and a Delta Polaris lounge near gate C120 for premium international travelers. A Delta Club is also located in the new Terminal A. The new Terminal A, which opened in 2023, also hosts Delta flights with modern facilities. Delta Connection regional partners operate from both terminals.
Newark Liberty is consistently ranked as the most delay-prone major airport in the Delta States. Its constrained airspace, aging infrastructure, and weather exposure create persistent operational challenges:
EWR shares the New York TRACON airspace with JFK and LaGuardia, creating a three-airport bottleneck. Even in clear weather, arrival rates are constrained. Ground delay programs (GDPs) are issued more frequently at EWR than any other U.S. airport.
Thunderstorms along the Eastern Seaboard trigger cascading ground stops across all three NYC-area airports simultaneously. Convective weather over the Appalachians can reroute inbound traffic, adding delays even when EWR itself is clear.
Nor'easters, ice storms, and heavy snow can shut down EWR for extended periods. Wind shifts between runway configurations reduce capacity. De-icing queues at Terminal C can add 30–60 minutes to departure times.
Delta Air Lines is actively equipping its fleet with Starlink satellite internet — the fastest WiFi ever offered on a commercial airline. EWR sees both narrowbody and widebody aircraft, with 737 MAX 8, 737 MAX 9, and A321neo among the first types receiving Starlink installations.
Use Widget Watch's Fleet tab to check if your specific aircraft has Starlink. You can search by tail number, flight number, or aircraft type.
Check the live status panel at the top of this page for current on-time performance, delay counts, and cancellations. For flight-level detail, open EWR on Widget Watch to see every flight in real time.
Delta mainline flights operate primarily from Terminal C, with additional service from the new Terminal A (opened 2023). Delta Club lounges are located in Terminal C. AirTrain connects all terminals.
Approximately 400 daily departures, making EWR Delta's primary East Coast hub and its most important transatlantic gateway.
Starlink is being installed on narrowbody aircraft first (737 MAX, A321neo). Check the Fleet tab for the latest count and specific tail numbers.
